I got to flex my illustrative typography muscles on this assignment. It's the full-page opener for this year's "How It Works" section in Popular Science. Topics range from Nerf guns to the University of Chicago's Underground Robot Library.
The piece was beautifully animated (not by me) for the iPad as well.
